A new achievement recorded at Prince Hamzah Hospital

A medical team at Prince Hamzah Hospital succeeded in performing a kidney transplant on a young man whose blood type differs from the blood type of the donor, which is his mother.
This operation is considered the first of its kind in Jordan and is considered one of the rare operations in the region and is performed in advanced centers. This operation was successful and was performed without complications. The patient’s health condition was excellent and he was discharged from the hospital. This operation was under the supervision of medical staff in the kidney, urology and vascular surgeons departments. Blood vessels and anesthesiologists, with the support of nursing and specialized staff working in the hospital.
The General Director of the hospital, Dr. Kifah Abu Tarbush, and the head of the kidney diseases and transplantation department, Dr. Khaled Zayed, confirmed the success of this operation and that this achievement  It will give a lot of hope to kidney patients even if the blood type does not match.
